Liverpool alerted to potential availability of Bayern Munich No.7
Liverpool and Manchester United are reportedly among a growing list of sides keeping tabs on Bayern Munich forward Serge Gnabry amid his contract stand-off with Die Roten.
The German has made more than 150 appearances for his team – scoring 53 times – since signing from Arsenal six years ago for a fee of just £5 million.
He has established himself as an important player for the Bundesliga giants, netting at least ten goals in each of his campaigns at the Allianz Arena.
Gnabry has been in discussions with his club over an extension for several months but Sky Germany report the two sides are currently some way apart when it comes to figures.
It is claimed he wants parity with some of his teammates including former Manchester City attacker Leroy Sane, having hit 12 goals and provided seven assists in 27 matches this season.
With his long-term future the subject of much speculation, the latest reports in Germany say the Reds, the Red Devils, Barcelona and Real Madrid are all watching the situation and could make swoops this summer.
Gnabry would prefer to stay at Allianz Arena and manager Julian Nagelsmann is desperate to retain his services.
The head coach recently said: ‘I would wish for nothing more than that he would extend [his stay at Bayern].’
