Second scénario fou de la soirée d’hier soir : le grand Bayern Munich s’est fait éliminer, à domicile, par un Villarreal décidément plein de surprise. Avec le recul, les déclarations pleines d’ambitions de revanche de Nagelsmann apparaissent donc comme tragicomiques étant que ceux qui n’ont pas tué le match… ce sont finalement eux.
Le Bayern Munich termine donc son aventure en Ligue des Champions malgré un potentiel indéniable. Sans doute encore un peu tendre et jeune dans sa transition avec Nagelsmann et ses recrues, le Bayern s’est heurtée à un Unai Emery sûr de son plan qu’il a d’ailleurs reconduit lors de ce match retour. Petit poucet sans star et créant la surprise, Villarreal est une nouvelle preuve que les ligues fermées, c’est pas une idée géniale pour le football.

-Very clinical players
-Attackers exploit the half spaces when attacking
-Press the opposition OUT OF POSSESSION very effectively
The Bad
-Commits too many players forward at times
-Can struggle against opposition who play accurate long balls over the defence
-Vulnerable to the counter attack
-Dependent on Lewandowski ON and OFF the ball movement to create space and/or score goals
-Vulnerable to attacks on the right side of the pitch due to Pavard slow pace
to catch wingers
