A punch, an argument & an injury: What went wrong for Sadio Mané at Bayern?

When Sadio Mané left Liverpool for Bayern Munich, his stock was still incredibly high. He was still one of Liverpool’s most important players, he had recently lead Senegal to the African Cup of Nations title, and he still carried a lot of clout in the game. However, despite a decent start with Bayern Munich after what was considered to be quite the coup for the Bavarian giants, the wheels fell off relatively quickly. Of course, an injury in the fall did not help things, but Mané suddenly lost his finishing ability in the winter, lost his place as a starter, and made a habit of clashing with staff and teammates alike. Most notably, his clash with Leroy Sane after their 3 – 0 loss to Manchester City stands out.

Now it seems as though Sadio Mané could be on his way out of Bayern Munich after just a single season, as Thomas Tuchel told the media that he “fell short of expectations.” Is this the end?

  1. this video is an absolute mess : analyse at the Match Versus City for example HE IS the only one who brought danger an obtain the penalty , the teammates dont want to pass him the ball where they will pass without look when its over which escalated to problems with Sane (who ask for it to be fair )
Speaking of pen he was at the one who take it but for no reasons they take this from him for no joking reason
They isolated him and put the blame on him when its the fault of everybody except him
It s a direct reault of a mismanagement of the staff and direction.

  2. To be fair Mané transfer wasn't really planned at all, even Brazzo said that it started as him bumbed with Sadio's agent in a restaurant or club around the summer, so it never makes total sense.

But, Nagelsmann even changed the formation to better suit his team without a no9, but it never really worked for more than 2 games. Mané also had maybe one or two really good matches before the injury and after, man, he was probably worse than anyone else in the pitch (bayern or opposition), even with Tuchel giving him opportunity after oppoprtunity. Its a shame that I didnt worked, but now the board must be praying for him to accept the Saudi offer, so they can can some money back and be free from his huge salary, it's really a pit that it didn't worked…

  3. Fun Fact: Bayern's highest goal scorer in all competitions scored 17 goals

Mane scored 12 goals in all competition and was injured for 4 months.

Sane scored 14 goals playing more games.
    Giabry 17 goals
    Musiala 15 goals
    Coeman 8 goals
    Mullar 8 goals

  4. Just liked sterling, both are system player.. nothing more or nothing less, they think they are the ultimate package liked the very elite pro footballers.. But they are just cogs in well oil machines..

  5. A good player can adapt, unfortunately he’s not good enough. Everyone are self conscious and it’s only the level of scrutiny he gets. At Liverpool, there were others covering his deficiencies at Bayern it’s glaringly obvious, he’s just not good enough to be in a super rated team. What’s more he lack team chemistry. Which new player go to a team and whack an old player 😂 be serious.

  6. Bayern will be a Maschine next season, with Kim / De ligt as Center backs, Guerrero and Laimer as new very exiting players how can be used in multiple roles. If Kane joins as well (which it does seem like) they are a very serious contender for the champions league next season

  7. Actually when Choupo became 'The' Striker, Sadio played on left wing with Davies He did great but the injury to him and almost all Bayern players having a Shit World Cup really fucked things up 😢 i was very optimistic it but Bayern need desperately need a Striker and Defensive Midfielder

  8. He has inflated ego but no game play. Klopp was dynamic when he played mane, he can't bring that dynamic gameplay everywhere without wingers literally being the cross to this guy.
He will keep dropping significantly and eventually get sacked.

  9. In restrospect, there were already hints of his difficult character in that one game where Klopp didn't start him and he was still so salty after full time that he didn't want to shake hands etc. Tactic and form-wise Bayern wasn't on top of their game (they still are not), Mané always looked a bit out of place on the pitch, like the game would run around him, like a ghost. There were thoughts to go with Gnabry and Mané as striking duo bc they were believed to be the two most clinical finishers, but it never solidified. Gnabry isn't constant the past 1.5-2 years either.. Big misunderstanding.

  10. he was old and physically past it, that's why we, liverpool, sold him. For some reason people absolutely refuse to accept this fact and I can see from the rest of the comments that everyone else is still in denial and finding excuses. Facts are facts, hes just not that good anymore.

  11. 5:52 OMG I was saying that all the time to my frineds, since I recall most of our matches. About 7 or more of our players were ones that made us win games, single handedly. With mane he never won us a game by himself, at the start of the season he helped a lot in some matches only. De ligt won two games on his own with long range rockets, kimmich is the same, pavard scored a lot as a left back. Chopo, gnabry, sane, coman in big games, musiala, and muller sometimes. All helped considerably more than others in specific matches, and were the deciders or heavy contributors. Mane sadly was never that other than slightly at the start of the season, I feel for him but as a bayern fan too, I have to say come on man.

  12. I feel bad for him, because I know he wanted to do well but it sucks. I can't even help but make fun of him and say sell him wtf. He was only kind of good in the very start of the season, that was it bro. He is slow and mostly offside and moody
