Arsenal made a big mistake to sell Shaka….
The Bundesliga is a lot more fun this year with Bayer giving Bayern such a challenge for the league!
I'm so happy for Tuchel, he has been looking for a striker like Kane , all through his Chelsea days
This is not how Bayern will normally play. It's optional under some circumstances, but not the Bayern way. If Tuchel thinks he can go down this road more permanently, he's gone even sooner.
Dortmund does better in CL because teams think they are better and attack which leaves room for them to play. In the BL teams are way more tactical and better at applying pressure because they are so familiar with your game.
Dortmund didn’t give Leverkusen space by low blocking and it was 1-1 in the end. Also Mainz also caused problems for Leverkusen with low 5-4-1. And Frankfurt or Stuttgart or Bayern did press Leverkusen well. Stuttgart dominated Leverkusen in first 45 mins. Should’ve been 3-0 up. Leverkusen had space vs Frankfurt only in second half when it was 1-0 already and Frankfurt tried to go forward and press more. Naturally, there would be spaces if press is bypassed. But in first half Frankfurt denied spaces for Leverkusen and didn’t let them create anything. So Laurens should watch games more instead of highlights. Clown.
I still think Leverkusen will drop off. Bayern will buy in january and leverkusen could loose some key players.
The bit about the space is so true. When Jose Mourinho's Roma parked the bus in last season's semi-final against Leverkusen, they were rendered toothless, failing to score a single goal in over 180 minutes.
Granted, the squad is stronger than last season, but still I don't think they've really had to face a team like that yet as almost every team in the Bundesliga employs some form of gegenpressing (last season, Union Berlin managed to make it all the way to the Champions League on their defensive prowess and just being unpleasant to play against but even they seemingly abandoned that style of play this season, to catastrophic results). It'll be interesting to see if they run into Roma again this year in the Europa League and if Xabi has learned from the last time.
Tuchel is a fraud. Say it.
Dortmund won 1 in 7 in the League but topped a Group of Milan, Newcastle and PSG 🤦🏻♂️
Just imagine how many goals Kane would bag in if Bayern were to purchase Pulisic and Leao from Milan.
Poor Kane: Leverkusen will pip Bayern.
To be fair to Dortmund. Augsburg got a new manager and have barely lost a game since. Huge turnaround for them.
Progress! 💋
