Bayern's history of high octane and almost kick and rush style is not suited to Tuchel possession, slow, tactical, and methodical style of play. At Chelsea, he had the perfect players who where comfortable in a low block, very aggressive in the press, and very comfortable in possession too. Players like Sane, Musiala, Coman, Gnabry are only very effective when running with the ball. They dont and can't slow down.
Actually, I don't think this leave at the end of the pathway is a good idea when you think rhe coach is an issue.
Secondly, I think literally writing off a season with coach like Tuchel may come back to look foolish.
Say what you want about Tuchel. He can execute a game plan against the best teams. Him going on and pulling off a UCL win is not impossible considering the squad strength.
He wanted players for a specific position and the club said no to this. Bad Transfer window and that is not on Tuchel. He is totally right
